Incorporating ADDIE on Projects

Our instructional designers (IDs) incorporate the ADDIE model on each project

Analysis

techniques.org starts with a comprehensive front-end analysis to determine the best learning methods for your audience. During this analysis, we make certain to understand your mission and needs so we can develop customized training and learning solutions in an effective and expedited manner.

When this analysis is complete, we deliver a detailed report specifying your goals, needs, scope, baseline strategy, overall learning objectives, specific training and distribution strategy, and success measurement criteria for creating a training program.

Design

During the design phase, techniques.org details the training products to be developed for your audience. IDs propose training strategies that make the learning solution engaging and effective within the parameters of your budget, schedule, and supporting technologies.

If your training will be technology-based, we develop storyboards and a course map for your company to review and approve. If you require instructor-led training, techniques.org creates course maps and instructional plans that consist of detailed outlines and activity specifications.

techniques.org bases its design plan on sound educational psychology, using a range of learning methodologies and strategies that may include the following:

  • Scenario-based learning
  • Games
  • Critical thinking exercises
  • Team collaboration
  • Metacognitive reading strategies
  • Scaffolding

Development

During the development phase, we produce a fully functional training program. Using the course map and storyboard or instructional plan as a blueprint, all media elements are integrated into a ready-to-deliver course.

Each project’s ID, graphic designer, programmer, and quality assurance editor maintain consistency and compliance with your company’s standards. If your training product will be technology-based, techniques.org will ensure content launches on your LMS and can be migrated to other SCORM-conformant systems.

Implementation

During this phase, appropriate stakeholders at your company review the completed training product to ensure objectives were met. Ideally, a pilot group takes the training and an end-test to validate performance measures and the instructional integrity of the course. A final review verifies that we have corrected all discrepancies. techniques.org will map student test results, when appropriate, to the training database or LMS.

Evaluation

techniques.org evaluates your training solution by using the ADDIE process. This process incorporates various evaluation steps throughout the entire development process and provides organizational evaluations resulting from the training. We can also evaluate the effectiveness of your existing training efforts by using other approaches, such as the Kirkpatrick and Phillips model to ensure objectives are being met and the desired return on investment is being realized. All of these strategies ensure that your courseware takes learners from rudimentary knowledge to a deep level of learning with measurable results and enhanced employee performance.
